Peltor Tactical 6-S active volume hearing protector features an outstanding noise reduction rating of 20 dBA. Assisted by an electronic vent, the hearing protector will reduce hazardous impulse noises from firearms to harmless levels within 5 milliseconds. By localizing weak sounds and attenuating impulse sounds, it saves you from having to scan the entire horizon every time someone shouts your name. It also features stereo-simulated sound reproduction for real-life directional sound at a lower volume. This hearing protector has easy-to-use volume control and a padded stainless steel headband for comfort. The 6-S is also equipped with a separate microphone, receiver, amplifier and volume control in each cup. It is powered by four 1-1/2-volt, long-life AAA batteries for more than 200 hours of service.
